Why I’m Not Rushing My Craft or My Goals

We live in a world where everyone wants everything now. Fast success. Instant results. Overnight growth. But the truth is, anything worth having takes time especially when it comes to your craft and your goals. I’ve learned the hard way that rushing only leads to burnout, missed details, and work that doesn’t reflect your best.

Photography taught me that.

You can’t rush golden hour. You can’t force the perfect shot. You have to be patient enough to wait for the right moment, and present enough to recognize it when it happens.

The same goes for life and your business. Your journey isn’t just about hitting the destination. It’s about the moments you witness along the way the lessons you pick up from failed attempts, the little wins that remind you why you started, the people you meet who leave their mark on you.

When you slow down, you start to see the beauty in the process. You notice how much better you’ve gotten over time. You feel proud of the progress you’ve made, even if it’s not where you want to be yet. Rushing robs you of those moments. Patience lets you grow into them.

So I’m not in a hurry anymore. I’m building my craft brick by brick, learning as I go, and making sure I’m proud of what I’m creating. My goals will still be there when I get there and when I do, I’ll know I earned every step.
