Ever since I was a little girl, I've loved cooking + baking.
One of my most life-changing experiences was making my first bread.
There was something about the response I got when I could share something that I'd made with my own hands and the instant joy that it would bring to others.
The way their eyes lit up.
The warm smell that fills the space as it bakes.
It's crisp outside + fluffy fragrance when it comes out of the oven.
It set off a lifelong quest to make every piece of my cooking + baking from scratch, even as I built my first business.
I graduated from college with a degree in Public Health.
Yeah, back then I thought I was going to be a nurse. Life took its turns and I landed in healthcare administration, working in one of the largest healthcare systems in New Jersey.
At the time I was pursuing a career where I thought I could make the most impact. I climbed the ladder, earned my MBA, + led a team. Yet I still craved to be closer to my purpose of helping people live healthier lives.
Here's where I meet Another Corporate Dropout (in corporate no less!). We work through 2020 + I wake up to the possibility of changing lives through food + diving into my business full time.
I launch my second business, The Laurita Group, my catering + hospitality company.
End of 2020 — ACD drops out of corporate once and for all. I get inspired.
Beginning of 2021 my countdown begins.
I put my end date on a Post-it Note + tape it to my bathroom mirror.
May 1, 2021.
I took the leap + finally launched my coaching + project management business, joining forces with ACD + now serving as Chief Administrative Officer + Senior Project Manager.
I support businesses in mapping out their dreams, creating plans + gathering the tools, resources, + people necessary to make them happen. I build timelines + work with the team + stakeholders to make sure projects are completed on time. It feels so good to start with an idea + end with an entire endeavor built by a cohesive team.
I get so much fulfillment now, doing what I love, focusing where I'm strongest, + supporting an incredible network of women, businesses, + enterprises who serve the greater community.
I'm so excited to connect with you + support you in bringing your dream to life!
